Ezra Pound was an expatriate American poet and critic, a major figure in the early modernist poetry movement, and a fascist collaborator in Italy during World War II. Kahlil Gibran was a Lebanese-American philosophical essayist, novelist, poet, and artist. He was born in Lebanon but spent much of his productive life in the United States.
